COVID-19

Update: 8/21

Dear Valued Clients,

As some of you may have heard, the CDC is recommending masks again indoors due to the D variant and the fact that some, mostly children, have not yet been given the opportunity to be vaccinated yet.

In an abundance of caution and out of a desire to protect our client's and our team member's unvaccinated young children, our policy is to wear masks indoors again. Our team members will wear masks, please let us know if you need one ad we will provide it for you.

We apologize for any inconvenience. We are hoping to go back to our "no mask" policy once again soon!

While we still do require the use of face masks, we have fully transitioned back to seeing all appointments in clinic! You are free to come inside for your appointment, though we still ask that you maintain a 6 foot distance from others. If there are others in the waiting area preventing this distance, you may be asked to briefly wait outside until we are ready for you to come in, at which time you will be brought directly into an exam room.

If you would prefer for your appointment to remain curbside we will be happy to accommodate you! Please just call us when you are in the parking lot and let us know that you would prefer to remain in your car for the duration of your pets exam.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. We appreciate you!

-The Arvada Flats Team

Update: 7/21

Great news- We are slowly beginning to allow clients to accompany their pets inside for appointments! To prevent an excess of people inside the lobby at once and to provide ample time for cleaning rooms between clients, we are conducting every other appointment as curb-side.  Every doctors appointment scheduled on the hour will be an indoor appointment, you are free to wait in the lobby and your pets exam will be conducted in an exam room with the doctor. Every appointment on the half hour will remain curb-side and for these appointment we ask you to please continue to wait in your car. We do please ask that all clients (vaccinated and non-vaccinated) entering the building continue to wear a mask at this time. We are eager to get to a point where everyone can come inside with their loved ones, but for the time being we are taking every precaution necessary to keep everyone as safe as possible in these uncertain times. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding!

- The Arvada Flats Team.

Update: 7/20

We are now back to our regular hours.

Saturday’s that we will be open July 18th, Aug 1, 15 and 29, September 12 and 26th.

Dear Valued clients:

In an effort to keep both you and our team healthy and safe we will be adopting the new AVMA coronavirus guidelines for veterinary visits starting Friday, March 20. Upon your arrival to the clinic for your appointment please call the front desk and a technician will take down information and history before coming to your car and bringing your leashed or contained pet carefully into the clinic. At that point we will lovingly examine your pet with compassion, ‘treat-giving’ and all the things you and your pet have come accustomed to during Arvada Flat’s visits. The veterinarian will call your cell phone in your car and talk to you within 10 to 15 minutes of us bringing your pet inside and they will give you all the information needed and options for any treatments or diagnostics as may or may not be necessary. You will be talking to one of our regular veterinarians that you are accustomed to working with. We will take credit card payments over the phone or you can write a check or pay with cash and the nurse will take your payment when she brings your pet family member back out to your car. This is the protocol for wellness and sick appointments, as well as surgical appointments. ‘Saying goodbye end of life’ appointments will be done in the clinic with owners present as long as owners are not ill or recently exposed to someone who is.

Our apologies for the temporary inconvenience, but please trust that we remain here for you and your pet. Know that we appreciate your business and trusting us with your pet’s healthcare. We are optimistic that this will pass and solutions will be found so that we can go back to our normal appointments very soon. Thank you for your patience and please don’t hesitate to call us with any questions or concerns. We are here for you and your pet through this time AND we are continuing to give the very best medicine to our patients!

All the best,
Arvada Flat’s Management and Team
