Dr. Gretchen Bassett

"We feel very blessed having Dr. Gretchen care for our golden retriever, Lola. As every dog is special to their owner, Lola is particularly special to me in that she is my Service Dog. Lola plays a very important role in my daily life. She has become more than a family member she is my right hand. Dr. Gretchen has taken care of Lola since the day I received her as well as all of our family pets for over a decade. Her loving compassion and skilled veterinary work has been given to all of our dogs. She has been there with the first well-puppy visit and grieved with us as we lost each of our beloved golden retrievers. The staff at Arvada Flats Animal Hospital truly believes in the human-animal bond and it is demonstrated with each visit. We are never just another appointment but we feel as though they are going through this journey with us. Dr. Gretchen is considered a member of our family and we would never think to take Lola to any other doctor. I think that is the highest recommendation someone who loves their dog as much as I do can give."

"Thom and I have been bringing our dogs to Arvada Flats for over 20 years. The staff at Arvada Flats have cared for and loved our pets through sickness and in health. When their time came to cross the rainbow bridge the staff treated us and our animals with love and compassion"

"I have to admit that Rich and I are definitely dog people. We have a very deep appreciation for that special connection that exists between humans and their beloved four legged friends. Over the past 14 years or so, our two Pugs enjoyed outstanding veterinary care to the point that when we would take walks near the Arvada West Clinic, our two Pugs would start to redirect their walking toward the clinic as if that was really “Their Home”. The caring staff at Arvada Flats fully understands and appreciates that connection as well. Dr. Bassett and Dr. Larson in particular, consistently provided special medical support to each of our Patient Pugs. We've always felt that not only were our dogs an integral part of our own family, they were welcome members of the Arvada Flats family as well. Their technical staff steadfastly delivered the most effective and caring treatments possible to our furry friends! We cannot thank them enough for all of their TLC."

  • "<p>The staff is really nice and so helpful with everything when it comes to my fur baby. Pricing is similar to other vets in the area and I feel like they go above and beyond to make sure your animal is taken care of. My dog loves going there because they are so loving with her. She gets excited as soon as we pull into the parking lot!</p>"

  • "<p>Every vet in this practice is awesome! So lucky that they are caring for my senior dogs!</p>"

  • "<p>We love taking our dog to this clinic. The doctors and staff are always very friendly and kind. Our dog gets very nervous going to any Vet. And they try very hard to make her comfortable. Even when we have had a mild issues with service there, they work quickly to resolve it and make it right. Thanks again for the great family environment and taking great care of Gypsy.</p>"
